About homeless helpers

As I walked our local streets, I saw people in need, I saw people without. I saw people with stories to tell.

My heart was often filled with sadness as I sometimes wondered, why them? Why not me?

Were they always without shelter, comfort and nourishment?

The only way to cure their despair was through action! My mind began to race with all the possible ways I could make a difference in their lives, and return to them the dignity they once held dear.

As my newfound purpose started to consume my thoughts, I began to write down my ideas, mapping out all that would be involved in achieving them. From the basics of blankets and pillows to much grander plans, I began to
learn the value of planning and preparation.

Knowing I couldn’t help everyone, I held on to the fact that I could at least help someone. I also knew that the more people I shared my vision with, the greater the impact I could have.

For those of you that share in my vision, I hope you will join me. Together we can provide better care and conditions to support the homeless of our great community.
